Cove

Situated just metres from the iconic Coogee Beach, COVE is a contemporary revitalisation of an architectural gem—balancing the raw beauty of coastal living with the elegance of considered design. Continuing our ongoing partnership with visionary developer Willow Group, Studio Nascent was engaged to create a brand and marketing campaign that brought the full lifestyle and design story of COVE to life—both visually and emotionally. 

Our approach was rooted in capturing a sense of place. Through a three-day landscape and lifestyle photography shoot across Coogee, we sought to frame the suburb not simply as a backdrop, but as a living, breathing part of the COVE experience. Shot throughout the sun cycle, our imagery ranged from golden dawns to dusky sea tones, highlighting everyday moments, local haunts, and sweeping views that evoke the feeling of waking up in one of Sydney’s most sought-after beachside communities. 

The design language, across tonality, layout, paper stock and colour palette, was developed in direct dialogue with this photography. A natural gradient theme was extracted from a sequence of sunset shots over the coastline, forming the basis for a visual motif used throughout the campaign. This was most notably expressed in a set of individually printed floorplan covers, each finished with a different gradient pulled from those moments on the shoreline. 

We produced a full suite of printed and digital collateral, beginning with a hero brochure that celebrated the project’s architectural and interior design pedigree—featuring architecture by Melbourne's renowned K.P.D.O, brought to life through full-page renders by Karam Kattan, considered layouts and editorial-style copy. Complementing this was a dedicated lifestyle and location guide, combining our original photography with a hand-illustrated map to highlight Coogee’s most beloved cafés, green spaces and natural landmarks. A separate fixtures and finishes brochure detailed the materiality and design options available to purchasers, while a tailored purchaser pack answered key questions in a format designed to feel elegant, informative and easy to navigate. 

All collateral was produced in collaboration with The Print Department in Melbourne, with an obsessive attention to finish and tactility. The suite was housed in a bespoke acrylic box featuring a sculpted finger groove shaped after the COVE logo crest. The hero brochure was bound in custom-dyed linen, while the secondary brochures were printed on imported Colorplan stock, each tone and texture carefully selected to mirror the palette of the surrounding landscape. The result was a complete and immersive brand experience, elevating every step of the buyer journey and reflecting the same care and consideration evident in the development itself. 

Clean, contemporary, and evocative, the identity we created for COVE captures not only the architectural quality of the project, but the aspirational rhythm of life beside the sea.
